Bridini Oga through to Feis semi-final

Junior Feis quarter-final : Brídíní Óga 4-26 Dunloy 1-5
Bridini Oga welcomed back Laoise McKenna for her first outing of the season and were in a position to select close to our strongest team of the season so far with quite a few students deciding that they needed a break from the books for a couple of hours. By contrast visitors Dunloy where struggling for players due to grading as a result of their involvement in the Senior Feis championship, for Tuesday evening’s Junior Feis quarter-final at Fr Maginn Park.

Although Dunloy opened with the first two scores – both well taken – Brídíní Óga were soon into their stride and Laoise McKenna, Kirsten Edgar and Kirsty Laverty popped over a series of beautiful points before grabbing the first goal goal of the game in the 22nd minute.
A second followed soon after from Ashling Ward and by half-time the home side were 2-14 to 0-3 ahead.

Bridini Oga continued to dominate in the second half and further goals from goals were engineered by Torie Edgar and expertly finished by Caoimhe McAleenan and Oonagh Ward.
Dunloy hit back with a late 1-1 despite losing Mary McToal through injury.
