Cuchullains pull clear in second half

All County Minor Hurling League Division 1A

Oisins 0-13 Cuchullains 2-21

Dunloy travelled to Glenariffe in the Minor League and came away winners by 2-21 to 0-13. The Oisins had fared well in the first half and with Caolan and Shane O’Connor performing well at centre back and centre forward, and Alex McMullan and Ciaran Mulvenna also showing well they lead the visitors by 0-8 to 0-7 after twenty minutes. However a star studded Dunloy team were always dangers and three quick points by the dynamic Seaan Elliott plus a scrambled goal by Calum Scullion put them seven clear by the short whistle on 1-12 to 0-8

Elliott continued to dominate during the second half and with Ryan McGarry, Deaglan Smyth and substitute Rory Mullan in excellent form they went on to score a convincing win, one which keeps them very much in the hunt for league honours.

In the other game played tonight Slaughtneil got their second win over the season when they ran up a massive 7-18 against Belfast Gaels who themselves put up a good total of 4-7
