It was a busy but successful day for the young hurlers of Ruairi Og, Cushendall on Sunday as they won the St Enda’s Under 10 tournament in Glengormley. The successful event was sponsored by Larkin O’Connor Cassidy Solicitors and M O’Kane Electrical Ltd
The teams were divided into four groups with the top two in each group going through to the cup competition. Teams placed 3rd and 4th in each group progressed to shield while 5th and 6th place were eliminated
Cushendall went through Group 1 unbeaten after playing Eoghan Rua, Davitts, Ballygalget, Erin’s Own Lavey to qualify for the quarter-finals. In the quarter final they beat close neighbours Glenariffe in before booking a final place with a win over St John’s in the semi-final, and Erin Own Lavey again in final.
