Ballycastle kept their hopes of Division 1 survival alive with a 2-21 to 0-18 win over bottom of the table Cloughmills at Pairc MacUilin on Saturday evening. In a tough battle the home team lead by 1-13 to 0-8 at the break. The second half continued in a similar vein with Ballycastle holding the upper hand to gain the win.

On Wednesday evening they travel to Rossa Park to take on the home side in what will be a vital game. A win would move them above Rossa, although the Belfast men would still have a game in hand, but if Ballycastle lose it will be Division 2 hurling for them next season.

Ballycastle scorers – Ciaran Clarke 1-8, Conor Boyd 0-4, Coalan McCaughan 1-0, Saul McCaughan 0-3, Oran Kearny 0-2, James McLister 0-1, Dermot McShane 0-1.
