Double on offer for Tir na nOg and All Saints

North Antrim U18 B Final

Tír na nÓg 4.11 (23)

Glenarm 1.9 (12)

Tir na nOg Randalstown’s minors remain in pole position for a memorable double following their sides North Antrim B Championship victory over Glenarm at Slemish Park on Friday night. The Whitehill side did most of the damage during a first half which they dominated.

After the break Shane O’Neill’s did much better and it took 27 minutes before Tir na nOg raised their first flag of the half but by that time it was too late for the Feystown side. On Sunday evening in Ahoghill Tir na nOg will be going for a hurling-football double in the Laverty Cup final against an All Saints, Ballymena team who could be heading for a double themselves by the time the Laverty Cup final kicks off.

In the opening game in Ahoghill All Saints face Davitt’s in the County Og Sport final and indeed if everything was to go to plan for the Ballymena club they could finish with a treble success as their Senior hurlers face St. Agnes in the Junior B Championship final in Cloughmills at 6-00
