ACFL Division 2
St. Paul’s 0-10 Dunloy 4-14

Dunloy produced one of their best performances of the season to brush aside the challenge of St. Paul’s at Shaw’s Road on Sunday, possibly ending the home side’s chances of a top six finishing going into the split next week.
Deaglan Smith led the way for the visitors during a good opening second half with four points with Anthony Smith scoring two. Caolan Gillan got in for the only goal of the opening half for Cuchullian’s and Shane Dooey and Chrissie McMahon added points.
Liam McKenna 0-2, Paddy Doyle 0-2 Aidan Cavanagh and Colm McLarnon hit first half points for the home side but it was Dunloy who led 1-8 to 0-6 at the break and they were good value for their five point half time lead.
Caolan Gillan fired home from the penalty spot on the restart for his second goal of the game with Stephen McBrien, Ruairi Hamill and Paddy Doyle on target with points for St. Pauls during their best spell of the game but they could not sustain it.

Shane Dooey pointed for the visitors and the excellent Declan Smith got in for his side’s third goal and Anthony Smith followed with a point to move the visitors 3-10 to 0-9 ahead after 15 minutes of the second half.
Stephen McBrien replied with a St. Paul’s point but it was to be their last score of the game with Dunloy finishing with a flurry. Barry McCloskey came off the bench to add 1-1 and points from Shane Dooey, Caolan Gillan and Anthony Smith saw them run out convincing winners.
