Cargin open Phase 1 of their new clubrooms

Erin’s Own Cargin Toome officially opened its new clubrooms at a reception at the club on Saturday the 26th October next at 7.30pm. The South West Antrim club is a hive of activity at the moment, with the recent success of the Minor and Senior footballers who made history by both winning their respective County Championships. Both teams were honoured at tonight’s reception where a special ribbon was cut by the club’s most famous supporter Stephen McCoy.

County chairman Ciaran McCavana presents the South West Antrim Club of the Year award to Cargin chairman Gerard Laverty

Tonight was special. We’ve opened phase 1. Phases 2 & 3 are certain to be completed within a short while, judging by the responses we have had tonight! Overwhelmed by the response. Thanks to all who turned up. Thanks to Stephen McCoy for accepting the honour to cut the ribbon. Thanks to County Chairman Ciaran McCavana for his attendance and his kind words which was most appreciated. Ciaran presented club Chairman Gerard Laverty with the SW Antrim Club of the year trophy. He also did the honours with the U14 All County trophy. Well done lads! Thanks to all who spoke. A special thanks to Damian Cassidy for sharing his experience with us. It was really enlightening. Maybe he can knock a few doors for our Club! Thanks to guest speaker Mark Conway of Club Tyrone and Kildress, and Tyrone Taliban! Much appreciated Mark! We will maybe get a trip up to Garvaghy for a wee visit! Thanks to Dermot for compering. You were brilliant as usual! We will be in touch with all volunteers in the next number of days. We need your help. Thanks to all.
