Lámh Dhearg Golf classic in aid of Pitch Development was a very successful and enjoyable day at a sun drenched Balmoral Golf Club on Friday. Over 90 golfers took part and the club are very appreciative of the support of the players and the many companies and individuals who sponsored the tee boxes .
After a day of quality golf the players retired to the clubrooms for a meal, presentation of prizes and entertainment by Seamus McPeake.
First prize went to Autoparts Direct team of Paddy Cunningham Senior, Gerard McEntee, Jimmy Darragh and Noel Rooney who amassed a total of 102 points.
Runners up were the J.D Building team of Sean Donnelly, Sean Pat Donnelly, Paddy Donnelly and Archie Burns who were just three points short on 99, while Ryan Stranney, Kevin Quinn, Mark Hamill and Cormac Hammond were 3rd on 92 points.
The Best Male prize went to Callum Fegan who had 45pts, Best Female –Annette Bradley on 35pts. Best Gross went to Conor McIlvenny who went around in 73 strokes, Declan Smyth won the Nearest the Pin prize while the Longest Drive was won by Donal McKernan
