ACFL Division 1 & 2 Reserve Friday 3rd June

Fixtures & Previews

The reserve leagues continue in their usual Friday evening slot with no split in this category on a home and away basis until conclusion.

Division One (all games at 7.45)

St Mary’s Aghagallon v Erin’s Own Cargin

Cargin have completed all of the seven round games to date without enduring a defeat, although they were held to a draw by St Enda’s a while back and they will travel up to Aghagallon in a confident mode.

The St Mary’s men do seem in the doldrums at present with just a single win to date and they require improvement aplenty if they are to halt the Toome men’s unbeaten run.

Tir nanOg Randalstown v Kickham’s Creggan

This is a local derby as the Whitehill residents play hosts to their near neighbours from Creggan and a close one is possible.

Creggan have earned a higher perch in the ratings and although their hosts will ask questions to their visitors an away win does look probable.

St Gall’s v Lamh Dhearg

Lamh Dearg have struggled to gain in momentum thus far in the season and they will seek improvement in this task as they take the road to Milltown.

St Gall’s have gained four wins from their games to date and unless their visitors can show improvement a home win does look the likely result.

O’ Donovan Rossa v St Brigid’s

Both sides have earned similar results in their games to date with both having won on four occasions and this may well be a close one.

Rossa have the advantage of home turf this time and that may well tip the balance in their favour with a home win possible.

St Enda’s v Casement’s Portglenone

St Enda’s have only one victory to date but the Glengormley men did gain a share of the points when they visited Cargin.

Casements hold a more prominent position in the table than their hosts at present and the Bannsider’s can gain another couple of points unless the Hightown residents can regain the sort of form they revealed at Toome.

Division Two (all games at 7.45)

Patrick Sarsfield’s v St Joseph’s Glenavy

Sarsfield’s with just one defeat welcome the Glenavy men to the Bear Pit. Glenavy with four victories to date will look to add another in this one but ground advantage may well tip the balance to the Paddies.

All Saint’s Ballymena v St Mary’s Rasharkin

This does looks a hard one to call as All Saints and St Mary’s meet in Ballymena. All Saint’s lead their visitors in the current ratings and they may well extend that advantage after this one but Rasharkin will concede nothing easily.

St James Aldergrove v St Ergnat’s Moneyglass

Games featuring this duo are more often than not close hard fought affairs and this one may well follow in that trend as Aldergrove play hosts to the men from Moneyglass.

Aldergrove sit a few places above their visitors in the ratings and allied to ground advantage they may well secure the points.
