A full list of fixtures are scheduled for Sunday with the start time delayed to a 6.00 pm throw in as the Saffrons will be involved in a Tailteann game against London at 2.00pm at Corrigan Park.
Division One (6.00pm)
St John’s v Tir na nOg
The Whitehill side under the watchful eye of Adrian Jackman have enjoyed a good league campaign to date and continued on the positive last time when they held the visiting Aghagallon to a draw up at Whitehill. They have a total of 15 points in the bag and will look to earn more in this one as they travel up to Corrigan to cross swords with St John’s.
The Johnnies have struggled to climb the ratings in their league campaign and their dual nature in hurling and football may well be impacting at the present.
The Corrigan side will be hoping to gather more points and they may see this as an opportunity to add another couple.
O’Donovan Rossa v St Ergnat’s Moneyglass
Moneyglass have struggled this season with only one win to date following the exodus of more than a few from their panel.
They sit close to the relegation zone and points are at a premium again as they take a trip to Belfast and a meeting with Rossa.
Rossa, like their South West visitors have struggled to make much of an impact in the league and they will be keen to add to their 8 point total as it stands at present.
This does look likely to be a close hard fought affair with the city men entering the fray as firm favourites.
St Mary’s Ahoghill v All Saint’s Ballymena
Another close one in prospect as the Ahoghill men play hosts to their close neighbours from All Saints and both have enjoyed a spell of productivity recently.
The Clooney side returned from a visit to Moneyglass last time with the points secured while their guests in this one enjoyed a win over the visiting St Galls and both will be in a positive frame of mind for this one.
Chris Mc Glone has the Ahoghill men firing on all cylinders at present, enjoying a snug mid-table spot and although their visitors will probably prove a tough nut to crack a home win is suggested.
St Gall’s v St Enda’s
St Gall’s started the season well but have slipped behind the pace setters at the moment but they still occupy a healthy spot in the ratings with 15 points as they travel to Hightown to meet St Enda’s.
The Glengormley men recorded a win over Cargin recently but they struggled to cope with Casement’s when John Mc Keever’s charges visited Hightown.
St Gall’s will travel keen to regain winning ways but the home side will prove a tough nut to crack and they may well gain the verdict.
Kickham’s Creggan v Casement’s Portglenone
An all South West affair in this one as Kickham’s Creggan plays hosts to Portglenone as the visitors travel, sharing top spot in the table at present.
Creggan lost to their neighbours Cargin last time when they travelled to Toome and they will hope to get back to winning ways as they await the visit of the Portglenone men.
A close one id in prospect in this one and ground advantage may well play a part with the Kickham’s given the nod.
Con Magee’s Glenravel v St James Aldergrove
The Con Magee’s recorded a good first win of the season over Lamh Dhearg last time and they will return to their own sod fully refreshed as they await the visit of Aldergrove.
The Crumlin men have struggled in the top division to date and they will strive to gain a positive result as they take the road down to Glenravel.
This may well prove to be a close hard fought affair but having taken a full return of the points at stake last time the Con Magees could gain another victory.
St Brigid’s v Erin’s Own Cargin
Possibly the ‘match of the day’ as St Brigid’s play hosts as their fellow table toppers from Cargin travel up to Musgrave Park.
The Toome men enjoyed a derby victory last time out and that win over their near neighbours Creggan will possibly raise confidence as they travel to the city.
St Brigid’s, like Cargin have enjoyed a good run in the league and they may well see this as opportunity to get one over their country cousins on home soil.
This is likely to be a close one and hard to call with a share of the spoils possible.
St Mary’s Aghagallon v Lamh Dhearg
Neither side have been at their best as Aghagallon play hosts to the men from Hannahstown.
Both have struggled with players unavailable as long term injuries has impacted on both in their respective campaigns.
Only a single point separates this duo in the ratings, the home side on 7 points and the Lamhs a point ahead and the points available in this one may well be shared.
Division 2A ((6.00pm)
Michael Davitt’s v St Patrick’s Lisburn
St Patricks lost out to St Teresa’s in their first game in the A section and they will seek a better return as they travel to Belfast to meet Davitt’s.
The Lisburn men are capable of better than in their opening defeat but Davitt’s will start as firm favourites and they may well gain the day.
St Joseph’s Glenavy v St Teresa’s
Having lost out to St Paul’s in their first game in the A section Glenavy return to Chapel Hill this time as they await the arrival of the inform St Teresa’s.
The Glen Road side have been going well this season and opened in the A section with a victory over St Patricks but this trip to Glenavy may well prove a more taxing assignment and a draw looks possible.
Division 2B (6.00pm)
Cuchullian’s Dunloy v Kickham’s Ardoyne
Dunloy look to open their B section account with a home game against Kickham’s Ardoyne.
The Ardoyne side have found the going tough this season and have no points to date and although they showed improvement last time when they lost by a couple of points to Gort na Mona, they may struggle to get anything from this trip to Dunloy.
St Mary’s Rasharkin v Gort na Mona
Gort na Mona take a trip to the South west in this one to meet the reigning junior and division three champions St Mary’s Rasharkin.
The Dreen men have found it difficult to date but with home advantage they may well complete the double over Sunday’s visitors.
Division Three (6.00pm)
St Comgall’s Antrim v Laochra Loch Lao
St Comgall’s lead the way in this division, unbeaten to date and they should remain firmly on the winning trail again as Laochra Loch Lao visit Dunsilly.
Wolfe Tones v Cardinal O’ Donnell’s
Cardinal O’ Donnell’s have enjoyed a positive campaign but a defeat to the visiting St Agnes last time was not anticipated and they should return to winning ways again as Wolfe Tones visit MacRory Park.
Patrick Pearse’s v St Agnes
St Agnes recorded a great result last time when they gained the points from a trip to O’ Donnell’s and it should give them confidence as they visit Pearse’s.
