Members and friends of All Saints GAC took part in a Marathon Spinathon on Saturday at Ballymena Band Stand to raise money for Cancer Focus N.I.
Organised as part of the ever popular Saints & Slimmers programme the teams involved assembled across the day from 9.00am to 3.00pm to raise money for this years nominated good cause – Cancer Focus N.I.
And while peddling for points was also the name of the game as an overall Saints & Slimmers winning team will be announced at the Finale Night later this month this was very much secondary to the efforts to raise vital funds for the valuable Cancer charity. The total amount raised will be revealed on the night when a presentation to the volunteers of Cancer Focus N.I. will take place.
All Saints GAC would like to thank all who contributed to the fundraising effort including the Ballymena public and all who contributed via the clubs Just-Giving page. This option is still available should anyone wish to support this very worthy cause.
Special thanks to the local businesses who supported the spinners with copious amounts of tea and coffee and of course Flamingo Fitness who supplied both the spin bikes and sound system and without whom the event simply could not take place.
