Bar Raised Again at North Antrim U10 Hurling Championship

Photographs and Report By Ciaran Hasson

North Antrim U10 Championship 2017

Saturday past seen the annual North Antrim U10 Hurling Championship being run off in Glen Rovers Armoy.  The standard of hurling from this age group during the year has been exceptional and Saturday was no different, in fact I think they raised the bar again.

The players showed some great skill and determination giving it there all.  These young players could not only hurl but where doing it at very fast pace and credit must go to the mentors but also the players themselves who provided everyone present with a great spectacle of Hurling throughout the day.

It was great to see such a big turnout of players, parents and supporters on the day which added to the atmosphere of the group stages, semi-finals and finals that followed.

North Antrim would like to thank all the teams who took part this year, the team mentors and parents for making it happen, to all our host venue Glen Rovers Armoy, the tea ladies and to Seamus Bailey and his team for running a very slick U10 Championship.

A special mention goes to the referees on the day.

The results of finals were as follows:

Division 3 Winners – Ruairi Og, Cushendall

Division 2 Winners – St Enda’s

Division 1 Brendan McGarry Memorial Cup Winners – Ruairi Og, Cushendall
