The 3rd annual John Cahill-St. Brigid’s GAC Memorial Cup will take place, as usual, on the 27th of December at 13.30 at Harlequins. All club members are encouraged to attend for some football, food and drinks.
John Cahill who passed away in 2014 was a great club stalwart and one of the founding members of the St. Brigid’s club. Originally from Belfast, John loved the GAA and was one of the games great characters. He coached the St. Brigid’s underage teams and took the seniors for a few years with Conor MacSherry.
This is the third year the John Cahill Memorial cup has been held in his memory. The tournament is run as a 7s for all club members both men and women of all ages and once again is expected to attract a bumper crowd.
