Audience in hysterics as the umpire strikes back

G7

Alan McKee and Conor Grimes, the chairman and vice-chairmaqn of St. Mungo’s of Luganulk.

St Joseph’s GAC Glenavy hosted the St. Mungo’s Luganulk 2 ‘The umpire strikes back’ in St. Clare’s community hall Glenavy on Friday 2nd February. The sequel to the original St. Mungo’s always had the potential to be just as funny and entertaining. So it turned out to be, the large audience attending the show where in hysterics at the antics of Alan McKee and Conor Grimes portraying the hapless chairman and vice-chairman of St. Mungo’s of Luganulk.

Many of the characters from the original show, such as wee Liam the leprechaun, were retained in this latest production and captured all the nuances of a rural Gaelic football club giving the audience a great evening’s entertainment. The show is specifically aimed at GAA club audience’s and St. Joseph’s would have no hesitation in recommending the show to other club’s as a fund raiser. We look forward to St. Mungo’s 3 being produced for the incoming year and what antics the members of St. Mungo’s will get up to next!
