St Bride’s Antrim Allianz Cumann na mBunscol champions
In the blue ribbon events of the Antrim Allianz Cumann na mBunscol calendar, St Bride’s lifted the Boys A Football Championship while the girls from St John the Baptist overcame a well drilled Holy Trinity to retain the Girls A Championship.
In the ‘Boys’ – St Bride’s were pushed all the way by Bunscoil Phobal Feirste in a match that was too close to call with only a few minutes to go. Both teams were clinical in front of the posts racking up many fine points. In the end the Raffo Cup returned to the Malone Road in after a fantastic display from all the players from both teams.
In the ‘Girls’ – both teams were also evenly matched after coming through difficult semi-finals. The talent and quality of skills was of the highest standard as the two top teams met in the final. At the end only a few points separated the teams with the Cup returning to Finaghy Road North and St John the Baptist.
