Black and McCormick are Antrim Poc Fada winners

Daniel Black from the host club Shane O’Neill’s won today’s Antrim Poc Fada at Feystown, above Glenarm. Black went around the course in 27 pocs, just ahead of Sean Paul Gibson of Lamh Dhearg. Last year’s Under 16 winner Roisin McCormick of Loughgiel Shamrocks won the ladies event while Aidan Scullion of Shane O’Neill’s won the Under 16 boys section and Naomh Donnelly of Bridini Oga won the Under 16 girls, just getting the better of her clubmate and good friend Shauna McDonnell.3Roisin McCormick of Loughgiel Shamrocks who won the ladies Poc Fada

Overall the turn out was dissappointing with many clubs failing to send a representative. Last years mens winner Donal McKernan was ruled out because of injury while reigning Ladies champion Orlagh O’Hara was unable to attend.
