SLG Summer Camp

St. Louis Grammar School opened their doors this week to 120 children from 16 different local primary schools for SLG Summer Camp 2019. In its fifth year the camp has continued to grow from strength to strength with this being the largest attended camp to date.

Throughout the week the children had the opportunity to participate in lots of multi-activities including sport, music, drama and art.

On Tuesday and Wednesday Pathway Adventures joined us with their 60ft inflatable obstacle course and returned on Wednesday with Human Table football. This was the highlight for many of the children. They were surprised on Thursday when Mr Softee pulled up at lunch time with some ice cream and slushies’ and they also received their camp T-shirt which they wore to camp on Friday. To finish on Friday the kids participated in either an indoor soccer tournament or talent show. Before being joined by their parents and guardians for their presentation and performance of their camp song.

A fantastic week from start to finish. Many thanks to camp coordinator Aimee McAtamney and her dedicated crew of leaders; Maeve Johnston, Laura McAuley, Shauna Wilson, Dervla O’Neill, Chloe Drain, Bronagh Devlin, Aine Devlin, Conor Gillan, Ryan O’Neill, Oliver McAtamney, Ciaran O’Neill, Ruairi Hagan and DJ Crawley.
