St. Teresa’s 1-9 Creggan 2-13
After a couple of reversals, league champions Creggan got back on the winning trail when they travelled to Belfast on Wednesday evening and recorded a good win over St. Teresa’s on thre Glen Road.
With the visitors playing with a slight breeze in the first half they raced into a 1.04 to no score lead after ten minutes with Conor Small 1.01 and points from Conor and Ruairi McCann and one from the very influential Tiernan Mc Ateer. St Tereasa’s came back with 3 frees from the accurate John Mallon but these were cancelled as Creggan replied with points from Ruairi and Jamie McCann and Dominic McAteer. The half finished with Conor Small and John Mallon exchanging points to leave the visitors leading 1-08 to 0-05 at half time.
Kickham’s pushed home their advantage at the start of the second half with Conor Small scoring 1-02 and Ruairi Mccann adding another point inside the opening quarter. St Teresa’s produced a storming finish scoring 1-04 without reply but it came too late to influence the outcome with Conor Small and Aiden McKeown replying with the final two scores for the Kickham’s
