Naomh Seamas GAC held their annual Dinner Dance on Saturday at the Devenish Complex in Belfast. In what was a celebration of one of their most successful ever seasons, 300 members from young to old came together for the night. The special guests on the night were Dr Paul Donnelly, Director of Gaelfast, Deputy Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey Annemarie Logue, Ciaran McCavana the County Chairman and former Antrim legend Anto Finnegan.

In what was a superb club event each age groups players of the years were announced to loud applause. It really was a special event to see the youth connect with the older players in what is definitely a unique occasion. A great night was made better by the presentation of the Laverty Cup (South West Antrim Minor Championship) to the Minor team for the 1st time in the clubs history followed by the presentation of the Antrim intermediate Football Championship for the 1st time in 42 years. To cap off a great celebration there were excellent speeches from The Deputy Mayor and the County Chairman but the room sat in complete silence to listen to the most inspirational speech from the legend that is Anto Finnegan describe his journey and the superb work of the charity DeterMND.

Naomh Seamas would like to thank all their special guests and they will be making a presentation to DeterMND in the coming weeks.
