Rory Mullan who was Dunloy’s top scorer
Cushendall 1-11 Dunloy 2-18
Holders Dunloy booked their place in the semi-final of the McMullan Cup (Under 16 hurling) when they travelled to Cushendall on Wednesday evening and beat the Ruairi Og by 2-18 to 1-11
A series of well taken points by free taker Rory Mullan and points from Conal Kelly, Eoghan McGrath and Daithi Cree plus a deflected goal from Mullan helped Dunloy to a 1-19 to 0-6 half time lead, the Cushendall scores coming from John McAlister (3), Conleth McKinley and Padraig McKillop.
After the break Mullan continued to fire over the points to increase the Dunloy lead and while John McAlister got three back for Cushendall it was a dominant Dunloy who won the day.
