South West U12 Football League
St. Enda’s 1-2 All Saints 9-6
As the South West U12 football league heads into the business side of the season places in the top four are still in the melting pot. On Friday night All Saints travelled to Glengormley with both teams keen to add to their overall points total. The game started well for the Ballymena boys with 2 goals in quick succession from full forward Fintan Brady to settle the nerves. He would get a further two before the long whistle to add to the 3 he grabbed on Monday against Aldergrove in a re-fixed game. Ciaron McQuillan was accurate with his frees to add a few more scores to the All Saints tally ending up with 1-4 to his credit before St. Enda’s hit back with a point of their own. In the 2nd half Rhys Wright popped up with a goal to secure the game for the Saints.
This was a good all round performance from a hard working team. Luis White (0-1) and Ryan Thom were the pick of the backs and were well marshalled by Kevin O’Boyle at number 3 before he switched to full forward and grabbed a brace of goals. Aodhan Mc Garry and Lewis Devlin worked hard throughout in midfield. Fintan Brady with 4-1 top scored and was well supported by the hard working Conlin Neill (1-0) and Harry Connon. Full time score: All Saints 9-06 – St. Enda’s 1-02
