John Cahill’s widow Clionagh presents the cup to Ben Sinnott .
The third annual John Cahill memorial tournament took place at St. Brigid’s GAC, Belfast on Boxing day. The tournament, named after John Cahill, a St. Brigid’s stalwart and founding member of the club who passed away in 2014 attracted a large group of players, former players and exiles . The tournament involves both male and female players and once again provided a great day’s craic where exiles, and retirees old enough to know better, returned to pull on the blue and gold again and swap a few tales.

Up for the cup! Players who took part in the John Cahill memorial tournament at St. Brigid’s GAC on Boxing day.

The day was a great success and a big thanks goes to Ruairi O Neill for organising it once again. £304.90 was raised for Cancer Focus NI. Ages ranged from 50+ to two members of the U16 championship winning team this year. The day provided a great excuse to sweat out the food and drink from Christmas.
