Pics by Michael MorganCushendall camogs opened up their U14 league campaign with an impressive home win against Ballygalget on Saturday. Despite the long journey ,the Ballygalget girls started well with the opening 2 points coming from midfielder Tara Mone but Cushendall hit back with a point from full forward Niamh Graham.Tara Mone was again on target with another 2 points but the sides went in level at half time following a goal from Monique O’Boyle.
Tara Mone scored her 5th point early in the second half, but this was to be her,and ‘galget’s last of the game. With ten minutes left on the clock, corner forward Ellie-Jo Butler grabbed Cushendall’s second goal of the game. With time running out, Monique O’Boyle sealed the win for Cushendall with her second goal.
