Antrim hosted “A Journey Through Scór.” This was a celebration concert, to celebrate the success of Antrim Scor over the past 50 years. What a day it was! St Clare’s Hall was buzzing with excitement as competitors and spectators arrived. We had acts from all
over Antrim take part, some representatives from Scór na nÓg and some from Scór Sinsir. We had County Champions from the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and current County Champions. The talent on the stage was absolutely outstanding. It was an opportunity for old friendships
to reignite and for old rivals to reunite. We were absolutely honoured to have Aidan Brennan, National Scór Chairman in attendance as well as Ulster Scór Chairperson, Ailish McEntee and Danny McLernon, Ulster Scór Secretary. County Chairman Collie Donnelly,
County PRO Sean Kelly were also in attendance. Scór friends from many different Counties in Ulster were there and were warmly welcomed by St Joseph’s Club in Glenavy. It was a wonderful venue for the concert and as usual, Glenavy were great hosts . A special

thank you to everyone in the club who helped make the day so successful. Fionnuala McAteer, as always, was a fantastic Bean an Tí. She welcomed everyone to the event and then there was a minute of reflection to remember absent friends, followed by Amhrán na
bhFiann sung by Cultural Officer Bronagh Lennon. Every performance was just fantastic and showed that after 50 years, Scór in Antrim is well and truly alive. The true spirit of Scór shone through. It’s not always about the medals but about friendships, memories
and participation. A huge thank you to absolutely everyone who helped make the day such a memorable, historic and successful one . Thanks to Bert Trowlen from Saffron Gael for the fabulous photos and to Eamonn McCullagh for doing a great job on sound. Finally,
a special thanks to the wonderful Scor competitors who make Scór what it is in Antrim. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and I can’t wait to see you all back on stage in Scór this year for the 50th anniversary year. Let’s make it a great one! Go raibh míle
maith agaibh uilig, Bronagh Lennon Irish Language and Cultural Officer Coiste Chontae Aontroma
