Antrim Camogie League Division 1
Portglenone 3-9 Bridini Oga 3-9
Bridini Oga picked up their second win in Division 1 of the Antrim Camogie League on Tuesday night when they travelled to Portglenone and beat the home side by 6-9 to 3-9.
The Glenravel girls started well when right from the throw-in Kirsten Edgar won the ball and played a great pass through to Ashling Millar who ran in and fired to the net. Katie McAleese responded with a point from play for Portglenone but Kirsty Laverty cancelled that with a great point and the Ward cousins bagged two more goals.
At the other end Jane Carey got in for a goal, but again Ashling Millar was on the ball and burying it in the net – three goals from the corner-forward and just 13 minutes played. The visitors were 4-1 to 1-1 in the lead and playing very well throughout the pitch.
The visitors tempo dropped a little and the home team hit back as Jane Carey scored 1-2 and Katie McAleese another point before Bridini Oga got going again with 1-2 in the final five minutes of the half, with Millar was the goal-scorer yet again.

Oonagh Ward burst her way through for a point and then Kirsty Lavery shot one of the scores of the day off her left as the second half got underway. Portglenone looked like getting going again, but Laoise McKenna cut out a dangerous run from Katie McAleese and she found Sian McNeill who in turn found Shauna Kelly down the left wing. Kelly cut in and found Ashling Millar with a hand-passed goal, number 5 for the corner-forward and Bridini Oga were now 6-6 to 2-5 ahead.
Portglenone rallied during the last ten minutes but though they grabbed another goal and three points, they had too much ground to make up.
