O’Neill’s All County Hurling League – Division 3
Cuchullains Armagh 4-15 Rasharkin 1-13
Pics and report by Mark Richards
Cúchulainns welcomed Rasharkin to Pearse Og Park on the outskirts of the City of Armagh for Round 11 of the League which was played in very warm conditions.
The home team started the game with great pace and soon settled in with a couple of points to help settle any nerves. Rasharkin hit back though with some fine scores from Eamonn McNeill before they were quickly answered with a fine goal from Caily Gorman for the Armagh side. Half-time arrived on a scoreline of Cúchulainns 1-09 to Rasharkin 0-07.
Cúchulainns began the second half as they did the first with Caily Gorman again finding the net which was quickly followed by points from Paddy Heaney and Jordan Murtagh which left the Armagh side in control of the game. Rasharkin never gave up the fight and added further scores throughout the second half but with Cúchulainns adding two further goals through Jordan Murtagh and David Bridges this left an uphill task for the Antrim men. The game finished on a scoreline of Cúchulainns 4-15 to Rasharkin 1-13.
Great report and photographs mark keep up the good work
