Not all heroes wear capes

Chitty raises £5,600 for Marie Curie

There were lots of heroes on show last weekend but none more so than Vincent ‘Chitty’ Caulfield who despite his ongoing battle with illness managed to raise £5600-08p for the Marie Curie cancer charity with a ‘Beer and Burger’ day he held recently at his home in Armoy Glen. The former Glen Rovers hurler was as upbeat as ever when Dylan and I called last Sunday on our way to the games in Ballycastle and got a picture of the great man with the cheque he handed over recently to Marie Curie.

Chitty is seen here with his daughters  and grandchildren Oran, Caoimhe and Conal Devlin, daughers Leona Devlin and Clodagh McAteer and son in law Tommy Devlin DYLN1711
