ValueCabs Beringer Cup launched at Colaiste Feirste

South Antrim’s showpiece football competition was launched at Colaiste Feirste on Friday evening as representatives gathered for the launch of the Beringer Cup sponsored by ValueCabs.
One of Belfast’s top taxi-firms, ValueCabs were happy to come on board and sponsor the competition with director Peter McCausland in attendance to oversee proceedings and to make the draw.
South Antrim Chairman Frank Caldwell spoke of his delight at ValueCabs sponsoring South Antrim’s premier competition and is looking forward to the action getting underway on Friday evening.
South Antrim Vice-chair and chair of CCC Michael Herron was assisted by Frank Caldwell and Peter McCausland in conducting the draw for the competition.
There were some intriguing ties in the preliminary round next Friday evening as St Agnes’ were paired with Ardoyne and Davitts against St Pauls.
St Brigid’s were paired with St John’s in the last eight – while the winner of the St Agnes’ and Ardoyne prelim clash will take on McDermott Cup winners St Galls.
St Malachy’s will face the winners of Davitts and St Pauls in the quarter-final while the tie of the round will see a Whiterock derby between Gort Na Mona and O’Donnells.
