St Killian’s Garron Tower 8-8 Crana College Buncrana 0-0

Right from the moment Fionnuala Kerr fielded a high ball into the Crana College goal area in the opening minute, it was clear that St Killian’s were clued in and determined to come away from Owenbeg with a victory.

Fionnuala quickly turned and buried the ball in the net. St Killian’s pressed the kick-out and Aisling Mulholland added a point, followed soon after by a goal from Niamh McKay. Further goals during the first quarter from Mulholland, Kerr and Aisling Donnelly gave St Killian’s a commanding lead.

The Tower girls pressed on to lead by 6-6 to 0-0 at the break with Emer Donnelly the other goal-scorer and Jaime Woulahan raced through for a seventh goal on the re-start.

This was a comprehensive win for St Killian’s with everyone on top of their game and only Ellie Costelloe making any shape to break their line. The Tower will now play St Mark’s Warrenpouint in the next round.
