Ulster U21 Club Football Champions Tournament
2018/19
The annual Paddy McLarnon Cup Ulster U21 Club Football Tournament is scheduled to take place in Kickhams GAC Creggan, starting on Saturday the 12th of January. Now recognised throughout Ulster as one of the outstanding events on the GAA calendar, this year’s tournament promises to be another resounding success.
Past winners have included Watty Grahams from Maghera who won the competition three years in succession and last year it was Gaoth Dobhair from Donegal who took the honours when they beat Lavey in the final.
Gaoth Dobhair went on to win this year’s Ulster Senior Club championship with many of the players who played in Creggan over the past two years featuring in that success.
This year Antrim champions, St. Brigid’s will have the opportunity to test themselves against the best Ulster have to offer and it would be nice to see the Saffron representatives get a run in this year’s tournament.
The tournament launch and draw will be on Thursday 27th December at 7pm in the Elk Complex, Toomebridge, and matches begin on Saturday 12th January 2019.
