Big Martin McCarry scored a goal against Moneyglass in the O'Cahan Cup at Allen Park Antrim on March 4th. It didn't deter the St Ergnets men as they went on with a bit to spare but the ex Portgleneone and Antrim - now Glenravel based veteran, showed there was life in the old dog yet, something he was to prove as the season went on.
Tears were the order of the day for CPC camogs despite a brilliant second half fightback in the All Ireland Senior Colleges Camogie final against Loreto of Kilkenny. One of my games of the year but the Ballycastle college had left themselves too much to do. John 'rocky' Dillon in action for Antrim against Laois in the NHL Division 1B in Dunloy on March 18th, a day of frustration when the Saffron's should have put the visitors to the sword which ended up costing us our place in the division
Luke Mulholland was goalkeeper on the St Ronan's Lurgan team who won their first ever McCrory Cup by beating holders St Mary's Maherafelt in the final in Armagh. Luke was one of nine Aghagallon players on the panel.
