Last night, the members and friends of St Mary’s Aghagallon gathered together in The Gate for a fundraiser quiz to raise money for their club’s two acts that have reached the All Ireland Scór na nÓg Final in Castlebar.
Orla Hamill was, as always, a great quiz host with great questions and lots of laughs along the way. Many thanks also to the staff of the Gate for a lovely supper. As well as the children and their friends and families they were also joined by Scór friends from Glenuilinn, Co Derry whose set dancers are also in the All Ireland Final.
A great amount of money was raised for the Ceili Dancers and Léiriú Group to go to Castlebar on 16th February and the committee and the children would like to thank everyone for their support.
There will be an “All Ireland Send Off” for the scór acts from the club before Castlebar. Everyone is welcome to come and see them perform and wish them luck. This will take place on 12th February at 7pm in The Woodville Arms in Lurgan.
