All Saints lost out to a good Tir na nÓg side last night under the splendid lights at Quinn Park in the first round of the Féile B competition. This was the girl’s first competitive outing of the season and considering their lack of opportunities for training outdoors due to recent weather they performed admirably. A good competitive first half saw the All Saints girls go toe to toe with their Whitehall counterparts but after some good build up play and defensive work the All Saints girls just couldn’t convert good approach play into scores on the board. Whitehill on the other hand were proving clinical at the other end and were able to take their scores when presented to them. Some really pleasing and positive performances from both sides in their first time out and there is plenty to work on for the season ahead for both group of girls. All Saints had a squad of over 20 girls and it would be great to keep this number together until the end of the season.
Thanks to Mr Gerard Dougan for officiating at the game.
