The Antrim football leagues got under way yesterday with a real cracker between Lamh Dhearg and St. John’s and we were there to capture all the action. Today there’s a full programme of games and once again the Saffron Gael will be out to cover as many games as possible but we can’t cover them all.

If your club is in action today and in order to have your game covered in the Saffron Gael please take notes. 1) Team lists. (If you go to the referee before the game he will allow you to photograph the team sheets with your phone) . 2) scorers and times. 3) Half time score-Full time score.

Players and supporter love reading about their own club’s games. Last Sunday we had 11,000 views and on Monday it rose to 13,000 as the hurling leagues got under way. We received photographs and reports from as far away as Carryduff and we welcome reports from all the clubs from other counties playing in the Antrim leagues.
