Rossa 2-01 Loughgiel 6-17

Loughgiel proved much too strong at Rossa Park for a home side who battled bravely throughout the game . Loughgiel set the pace from the throw-in with an early burst of points from Annie Lynn , Ciara Laverty and Roisin McCormick . This got the visitors off to a great start and the inevitable first goal arrived via the hurl of Carla McGarry after ten minutes and by half time Loughgiel had a commanding lead of 4-11 to 0-01.

Loughgiel were dominant throughout the game with Ciara Laverty 2-05 and Carla McGarry 2-03 in outstanding scoring form . Orlagh Laverty and Megan McGarry were both prominent for the Shamrocks as well . Referee Vincent McCotter of Sarsfields allowed the game to flow freely and Loughgiel  ran up a steady stream of second half scores with only a couple of goals from Caragh Shannon and Riona Matthews breaking their rhythm in a late Rossa rally .
