Cushendall make it two wins from three

Cushendall 6-12 Rossa 1-4

Cushendall scored an easy win over visitors Rosa at Pairc Mhuir on Tuesday evening to make it two wins out of three in their Division 1 campaign. The Ruairis were strong throughout the field and had the game won at half time when they led b 3-6 to 0-0 and though the Belfast girls performed much better in the second half they were never going to challenge the Cushendall lead.

Points from Orlagh O’Hara, Dervla Cosgrove and Brogan Abram, plus goals from Abram and Naomi McCurry put Cushendall in control inside the first ten minutes. Further goals followed from Brigid Delargy and Siobhan McKillop, plus points from Orlagh O’Hara and Brogan Abrom before the break to give them a 3-6 to 0-0 cushion

Rossa got on the scoreboard through Natalie McGuinness four minutes into the second half but Cushendall responded with four points without reply before Orlagh McCall pointed and Sarah Armstrong goaled for the visitors. McCall added two further points for Rossa but it Cushendall had all the answers and they pulled clear again to win convincingly.
