All Saints are Feile B champions

All Saints 1-4 Rossa 1-1

A strong start helped All Saints win the Feile B title at Hannahstown on Saturday as the Ballymena boys beat Rossa by 1-4 to 1-1 to book a place at the All Ireland Feile finals in Cork.

Centre half forward Fintan Brady got the Saints off to a great start when he soloed through from 50 meters out to fire over the opening point and full forward Ciaran McQuillan put them two clear with a pointed free two minutes later. The Ballymena boys then took a firm grip on the game when Fintan Brady raced in to fire in his team’s goal on twelve minutes to move his side five clear by the end of the first half.

In the second half Rossa fared much better and they opened their account on when Jude Collins sent over a point. When midfielder Daire Cunningham strong shot from out on the wing found the All Saints net the Shaw’s Road boys were back in contention, but All Saints held firm to seal the win.
