Tir Na nOg, Randalstown was the venue for this year’s South West Hurling Skill Final.
Nine players, representing five clubs took to the field in the fine sunshine to compete for the honour, of representing the South West at the County final.
The standard of hurling on display, was remarkable, with a few of these young u14 lads set to make the county senior panel in the future, and when the final score tally was in very little separated,1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Kickham’s Creggan, Moneyglass, All Saints, Clooney and Tir Na nOg were the clubs represented
with little separating the contestants until the ground strike. Adian McGarry (All Saints) pocked
three out of four, over the bar, gaining the points when it mattered, making him
the overall winner ,with 218 points out of a total of 300.
