Hurling Team of the Week

Because of last weekends hectic schedule I have to admit I forgot to publish the Hurling team of the Week. So here it is, a week late but with the two final rounds of Senior Championship this weekend it might just work out OK

In our second addition we have gone for a predominantly north Antrim mix with Dunloy and Loughgiel dominating the choices after their wins in the second round of games in the round robin.  Remember, it’s all a bit of craic….

Chrissy O’Connell was poc out perfect for the Shamrocks and Mark McFadden were automatic choices this week while James McNaughton, Odhran McFadden and Ronan McCloskey join his fellow Loughgiel club men.  Conal ‘Coby’ Cunning was back to his brilliant best as he led the Dunloy charge against Rossa with Phelim Duffin, Conor McKinley, Kevin Molloy and Paul Shiels while Keelan Molloy makes it two from two for this years championship team of the week.  Niall O’Neill and Jackson McGreevy were the best in a St Galls shirt although Kieron McGourty can find himself unlucky not to have been included either along with Aodhan Gallagher.  Deaglan Murphy reached double figures for his tally in Rossa’s defeat to Dunloy while Michael Armstrong put in a big shift for the Shaws Road side over the hour.  Gerard Walsh and Stephen Beatty just missing out.
