North Antrim U14 Airborne Finals

Host club Dunloy turned on the style in Saturday’s North Antrim Indoor Airborne finals at Dunloy Academy to take the top honours. The young Cuchullains beat Loughgiel in the semi-final by 54 points to 25 to book a final spot against Oisins Glenariffe, who made it through thanks to a 48-25 win over Ruairi Og Cushendall.

The final was a real close fought affair with little between the sides throughout the game but in the end Dunloy came out on top by 33 points to 29.

The win completed a double for the club after they had beaten Con Magees Glenravel in the Division 2 final earlier in the day. The Glenravel boys had qualified for the final thanks to a 44-17 semi-final win over Loughgiel while Dunloy got the better of Oisins by 38 points to 17. This final was also close run game with the Cuchullains getting the better of the Glenravel boys by 34 points to 27.

In the first final of the day All Saints took the Division 3 honours after beating Tir na nOg  27-16 in the decider. They had got there thanks to a 56-12 semi-final win over Creggan while the Randalstown boys beat Glenravel 29-11.
