Ruairí Og open new 4G area

Cushendall Ruairi Og opened their new floodlit 4G area and ball wall on Friday night with a select group of underage player in attendance because of the current Covid Restirctions. The wall itself was constructed a couple of years ago using money financed through the Cáirde Ruairí fundraising group in the club but

This final phase, the 4g floodlit playing area, was 95% grant funded, 75% coming from DEARA and 20% from Causeway Coast & Glens Council, but this would not have been possible without the support of the members of Cáirde Ruairí.

In total the whole project cost £226k.

Ruairi Og treasurer Paddy Duncan hands over a cheque for £500 to the Saffron Gael while club chairman Daniel Delargy looks on. The presentation was made at Friday night’s opening of the new 4G-Ball-wall area
