Down Memory Lane

Twenty five years ago Rossa beat Cushendall in a low scoring, but highly exciting, Minor Hurling Final at Casement Park. The game was not played until December, when conditions for hurling were far from ideal but both teams gave their all in a great battle with Rossa edging it to take the title from their opponets who were going for back to back titles.

Many thanks to Rossa secretary Maureen Stewart for providing the newpaper cutting of the match report.

Hurling Board secretary Tony Mulvenna presents the Sean Stinson Cup to Rossa captain Paddy Burns after his team’s win over Cushendall in the 1995 minor hurling final. Included are county chairman Oliver Kelly and treasurer Henry McCabe.
