The draw for the 2021 Ulster Senior Football Championship, which took place this evening (Tuesday) , saw Antrim paired with Armagh with the game played at the Athletic Grounds in late June, or early July. Incredibly it is the first time the two teams have met in the championship since the 1982 semi-final when the Orchard county came out on top.
Anglo-Celt Cup holders Cavan will defend their crown against Tyrone, while Down will take on Donegal in the preliminary round.
Ulster GAA President Oliver Galligan was present for the draw made this evening live on RTÉ News, which unveiled the below pairings –
Ulster SFC 2021
Preliminary Round: Down v Donegal
Quarter-Finals: Armagh v Antrim, Monaghan v Fermanagh, Tyrone v Cavan, Derry v Down/Donegal
Semi-Finals: Armagh/Antrim v Monaghan/Fermanagh, Tyrone/Cavan v Derry/Down/Donegal
The 2021 Provincial Football Championships will commence on the weekend of June 26th/27th. The Ulster SFC Final will take place on the weekend of July 31st/August 1st.
