Bert went along to Lisburn on Saturday to get some pics of the Naomh Padraig Gaelic for Mothers & Others
Naomh Pádraig GAC Lisburn’s biggest ladies team yet!Just out of lockdown was the perfect time for St Pat’s to setup G4MO encouraging female participation in sport. The sun came out and the sound of laughter echoed all round the pitches again, most of the ladies had never played Gaelic football before and had different levels of fitness, by the end of the tasters they were scoring over the bar and learnt lots of new skills. The common goal for all was enjoyment after a long year. There were a few sore muscles after the tasters but these were from laughing so much! This massive team are looking forward to their first matches and blitzes.Here is some of the feedback “been such a happy experience”, “great craic and a good chance to meet new people while getting fit”, “I haven’t laughed so much at any sport”, “I’ve met some really lovely ladies and coaches. Had many belly laughs, what more can you ask for”
