Kickhams and St Galls served up an entertaining draw on Wednesday night in their league meeting at Creggan.  Kickhams took the lead in the third minute with Kevin Rice coming strongly through the middle to kick his first score of the night with Barra McCaffery equalising for St Galls a minute later.

Jamie McCann was next on the scoreboard with an excellent left footed point to give Kickhams the lead 0.02 to 0.01 at the water break. Tomás Bunting got St Galls going with a finely taken point before Jamie McCann and then Kevin Rice put the Kickhams men 2 up by the 23rd minute but back came St Galls with their more experienced players leading the way with points from Mc Caffery and Burns bringing them back level.

With the break 2 minutes away Brendan Bradley sprung to life scoring an excellent individual goal followed by a well taken point. Tiernan McAteer finished the first half of with a well taken point to leave St Galls leading at the half time break 1.05 to 0.05.

With Kickhams having the wind in their back for the second half they were dealt a real body blow when in the second minute St Galls put together a great passing move with Conn Doherty blasting to the net but it was to be their last score.

With Kealan McCann, Kevin Rice and Aiden Mc Keown taking control of the game Kickham’s started to comeback from 6 points down. Tiernan Mc Ateer scored two more excellent points but the move of the game started by the never say die Maguire cousins Aiden & Sam who fed the equally impressive Odhran McLarnon. McLarnon offloaded to Aiden Mc Keown to send an unstoppable shot to the roof of the net.

With Aodhan Gallagher, Colm Brady, Terry O Neill and Sean Kelly doing everything in their power to protect their one point lead it was left to Kevin Rice to kick the equaliser of his left side from a tight angle and the game finished Kickhams 1-08 to St Galls 2-05
