Corran Integrated 2021 Larne Schools Hurling Cup Champions

Corran Integrated Primary School and Nursery were last week crowned the winners of the Larne Schools Hurling Cup for the 3rd time since the competitions’ inception in 2014. Due to the global pandemic the structure of the 2021 event had to take a different form with reduced panel sizes and everything moved outdoors with no spectators. The competition is usually played in Larne Leisure Centre in early February after ten months of preperation. Even with the closure of the Schools for the latter part of the 2019/2020 academic year Latharna Og were still able to provide 11 weeks of free coaching in three different Schools in the town in preparation for the 2021 event. The annual rolling penalty competition was won by Spohie and the player of the tournament was Jonah scoring a hat trick in the final. Thanks to all involved and we hope to get back to a more traditional structure in 2022
