Maeve Kelly’s busy Friday continued as she popped through the back gate of Mount St Michael’s Primary and called into St Benedict’s College in Randalstown.
Again she was given a big reception welcoming party in the parading through the yard into the Sports’ Hall. There Maeve met players from the school camogie teams and others pursuing courses in Sports’ Studies.
Again Maeve was called on to discuss everything from her first days holding a hurl to how she felt scoring the goal in Croke Park and then hearing the final whistle.
There was also a lot of interest in how the team had prepared for Croke Park, from travelling down to the north Dublin venue for a walk-around the weekend ahead of the final to using a psychologist to prepare them for a day like no other.
Maeve then received a lovely gift from the school and posed for photographs with staff and students
