Armagh’s experience a key factor as they beat Antrim at Dunsilly

National Camogie League – Division 3

Antrim 0-6 Armagh 0-8

Armagh’s experience saw them close out a well-fought tie with Antrim in Dunsilly on Saturday in Division 3

Two early points from Rachel Merry put Armagh ahead early in the game. Although Fionnuala Kelly responded with two points for Antrim. The Donnelly sisters had added points each before the second of those and Hannah Duffy and Ciara Donnelly finished the first half to make it 0-6 to 0-2 for the visitors.

Ciara Donnelly added a free on the re-start and Armagh failed to score for the next 22 minutes with Anna McNeill (2) and Orlagh Laverty closing the gap to 0-7 to 0-5. It looked at that point that Antrim might just get something out of the game.

However sub Corrina Doyle grabbed a point for Armagh and it was enough to see them home with Fionnuala Kelly’s late point too late to make a difference.
