ACHL Division 1
St. Enda’s 3-11 St. John’s 2-16
St. John’s find themselves top of division 1 of the ACHL division 1 after three rounds of games with wins over Rossa, Ballycran and St. Enda’s on Sunday past at Hightown.
It’s early days of course with Ballycastle and Loughgiel handily placed in second and third spot with two wins from two starts and of course leagues are not decided in early May and these positions are likely to change as the season progresses.
St. John’s will be pleased to their start to the season however and the Corrigan Park side, who have performed well in the championship in recent years will be hoping to build on this early season start.
They didn’t get it all their own way at St. Enda’s and were made to work for their win over a home side who are pointless after three starts but showed enough to suggest they are capable of climbing up the table.
Reports from some of these games have become difficult to get unless one of our team is actually at the game and we would appeal to club P.R.O’s to send us reports from their games or even teams and stats so as we can put something together ourselves.
Send your reports or stats and teams to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
We were fortunate to have a good friend of the Saffron Gael, JJ Lawell at the St. Enda’s v St. John’s game and today we include a selection of his excellent photographs from Sunday’s encounter at Hightown.
