North Antrim Cumann na mBunscoil held their annual hurling championship today in Cushendall for the first time since the COVID pandemic. 14 schools, fielding 15 teams, took part in the competition with all schools showing a very high standard of skill.

The two groups played off a round robin league format, with all schools playing after lunch for the cup, shield or plate depending on round robin placings.
St Ciaran’s Cushendun claimed the plate, near neighbours Glenann P.S won the shield and St Joseph’s PS took the cup back to Dunloy.
Well done to all involved in a fantastic days sport, particularly Mrs Fiona Bailey and Mrs Rhona Donnelly for coordinating the competition, to Kieran Megraw from Gaelfast for his support and to all the teachers who made fantastic memories for 150+ children.
